Maxima

Nobody went into accounting to spend the first week of every month matching transactions by hand. Maxima was built so they don't have to. Our agents do the accounting work itself: journal entries, transaction matching, reconciliations, and flux analysis, in real time and to SOX standards. Accountants review and approve. Nothing posts without a person signing off. We remove the grind, not the human. Maxima is the first agentic AI platform for enterprise accounting. Our founders oversaw the finance org at Rubrik and built the month-end close systems at Twitter and Netflix. We've raised $41M from Redpoint Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, and Audacious Ventures, and we're backed by finance leaders at OpenAI, Rubrik, and Vanta. Maxima runs in production at Scale AI, Rippling, Glean, and SpotOn. We are early, we are growing fast, and we are hiring people who would rather build the category than join it. The Role

Controllers and CFOs have heard every pitch about fixing the month-end close. Most of the software they bought coordinates the work; Maxima's agents do it. As an Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle, from the first prospecting call through discovery, negotiation, and close, and show finance leaders what changes when the close becomes a continuous, controlled process instead of a month-end scramble.

The sales playbook is still being sharpened, and you will have a hand in it. You will work with leadership, Product, and Marketing to refine the pitch, carry customer feedback into product and go-to-market decisions, and shape how Maxima sells.

What You'll Do

• Own the sales cycle end to end, from lead qualification through close, across multiple mid-market and enterprise opportunities
• Partner with BDRs to identify, target, and engage prospective customers through outbound and inbound channels
• Run discovery to understand customer pain points and deliver tailored demos and ROI narratives
• Build relationships with finance executives, IT, and operations leaders to navigate complex buying processes
• Keep pipeline, activity, and forecasts accurate in the CRM
• Partner with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success on onboarding and long-term customer success
• Bring customer feedback back into messaging, product priorities, and enablement content

What We're Looking For

• 4 to 6 years of full-cycle SaaS sales experience, ideally in enterprise or mid-market segments
• A track record of meeting or exceeding quota in complex or consultative sales
• Strong communication and presentation skills with executive audiences
• Highly organized and self-directed, comfortable managing several deals at once
• Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM
• Curiosity about AI, automation, and the future of finance, and the drive to help customers adopt new technology

• Experience selling financial operations, ERP, automation, or AI products
